DECONSTRUCTION:These dark, and sometimes foreboding images illustrate the temporary nature of our existance. I am irresistably drawn to capture these unique photographs of civilizations' twisted remains being reclamed by mother nature. These places have a charachter of their own that I am simultaneously drawn to and disturbed by. Though mostly landscapes, I have grouped them separately because of the recurring theme of nature reclaiming things from humanity.
LANDSCAPES: Photographing the earth, and landscapes is extremely rewarding for me. I spend a great deal of my time in front of a computer, however I find the most peace when I am in nature with my camera. Exploring the vast vistas that mother nature has given us elicits the sense of exploring as a child, with each moment filled with wonderment. I've only included black and white images in this gallery, because they have a special timeless quality that color simply doesn't capture.
COLOR: I started my photography carrer shooting entirely in black and white, and initially wasn't even remotely interested in color. There is something much more primal and simplistic about black and white images versus color. However, in my travels I've explored some wonderful and beautiful places that can only be described in vivid color.
ANIMALS: Though not initially something I found terribly interesting, I have more recently started compiling some of my images of animals. These include pets, as well as animals that I have encoutered in the great outdoors. Some of these images I found were better expressed as black and whites, but some creatures are so amazing in full color.
